  • Rhythm and Romance! · 6 pages

Tubby cannot go to the school dance because he doesn't known how to dance. He goes to Mr. Toni's dancing school, but overhears a plot to steal from the home of his school friend Doris Van Cleeve. He lies in wait at her house and rushes the crooks, but they capture him. Tommy and Toughy arrive in their crime-fighting gear and polish them off.

A pair of crooks try to find out from Algy Aitch how he gets the ideas for robberies used in his detective novels. He will only reveal that, for the sake of authenticity, he and a pair of confederates enact each robbery before it is committed to print. Coincidentally, he needs two new assistants for his latest test. So, that evening the trio, along with Terry Sloane, board the "Latin Queen". Terry spies the "robbery" in progress and (as Mr. Terrific) foils the plan.

  • Horsehair Knot · 2 pages
  • Heroes Without Headlines! · 8 pages

Ted is at the training camp, getting in shape to take on Slugger Jones. Stretch spots an unknown visitor and Ted tells him he has hired old time boxer Pudgy Perkins to help with training. Big Boy Madden tries to bribe Perkins to slip drugs into Ted's water between bouts, but he refuses and the crooks are routed by Wildcat. Following a fallout with Stretch, Perkins agrees, but on the night cannot do it. Ted leaves the ring, dons his Wildcat costume, and gives Madden what for.
