ARGUS
Privacy policy
What Argus collects, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.
Last updated October 10, 2026. Argus (arguscollects.com) is operated by RVK Holdings.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address, used to send sign-in codes. We do not use passwords. Session records keep the browser name you signed in with.
- Your Want List and settings. The comics you save, their grade and grader preferences, exclusions, hidden listings, alert rules, quiet hours and delivery choices.
- Alert delivery. Email addresses or Discord webhook addresses you add for alerts, after you verify them, and a record of alerts sent.
- Assistant. Questions you ask the Argus assistant and its answers, so you can see your history. You can delete this history at any time.
- Connected accounts. If you connect eBay, we store an encrypted access token and the watched items and saved searches you choose to import. If you connect an AI assistant through MCP, we store a hashed token and the approvals you grant.
- Listings. Public listing details from marketplaces, auction houses and dealers: title, grade, grader, seller name, link and image link. Argus does not store listing prices, sold prices or market history.
- Usage. Basic request logs for security and, where enabled, Google Analytics measuring page visits.
How we use it
To sign you in, search for the comics on your Want List, send the alerts you asked for, answer your assistant questions, and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
We may show dealers and the public anonymous counts of how many collectors want an issue, rounded and only when at least ten collectors want it. These counts never include who wants it.
Who processes it for us
- Hetzner (hosting, Germany and the United States).
- Resend (sending sign-in codes and alert emails).
- Anthropic (generating assistant answers from your question and catalog facts).
- eBay, only when you connect your eBay account.
- Instagram (Meta), only to read public posts by professional dealer accounts or accounts that connect to Argus.
- Google Analytics, for aggregate site traffic.
Your choices
- Export your data from Settings.
- Disconnect eBay or an AI assistant from Settings; we revoke the token.
- Delete your account and all of its data from Settings, or see data deletion.
Comic data
Catalog facts come from the Grand Comics Database (comics.org) and Metron (metron.cloud), licensed CC BY-SA 4.0, and from Wikipedia and Wikidata.
