Stories

  • Invaders from the Atom Universe · 14.33 pages

Adam is zeta-beamed to Rann, but pop-eyed green aliens inhabit the city! Adam is thrown into an "Orkinomikron" to wake on a desolate atomic world, having been shrunk. The Rannians will perish. He finds the original transfer machine hanging over a bottomless pit. Color streaks tell him the fuel was phosphorous. Scraping matches, he transports himself and Alanna back home, except they're tiny spies. Back on the desolate world, he rallies the Rannians and teleports to Rann. Belt units make the Rannians giants who send the Vrenn packing. And Adam is zapped away to Earth.

  • Bernard Lyot · 1 pages

Bernard Lyot built the first coronagraph to study the solar corona, and made observations of Mercury and Mars.

  • Prize Stars! · 1 pages

Facts about Proxima Centauri, Sirius, Beta Orionis, and other stars.

  • The Dozen Dooms of Adam Strange! · 9.67 pages

Adam rockets over a cop to meet the zeta beam. The new rage in Ranagar is Adam Strange full-size dolls. Alanna wants to send 11 - plus Adam! - to isolationist Dys, who may be planning an invasion. Alanna fakes an emergency landing. Tak Vall, Chief Scientist, will plant "KLY" bombs in the dolls and destroy Ranagar. Adam sneaks to find Alanna. He jet-packs after a flier - as (wind-up doll) Alanna is pitched over the Flaming Sea. Alanna sees Adam blown up, but he rushes in. The doll didn't perspire. Adam sent the bomb-dolls into the ocean. At the honors dinner - he's zeta-beamed away!
