Stories

  • ...Doomed to Repeat It... · 20 pages

While investigating a crime scene similar to his mother's murder, Barry experiences cryptic visions of other speedsters. Barry believes the Speed Force is trying to warn him of something. Shortly after, the time-lost original Wally West appears to Barry, who does not remember him at first, but suddenly his memories return and he pulls Wally back into the timeline. After warning Barry about a mysterious force manipulating the timeline, Wally leaves to join the Titans, while Barry heads to Gotham City to compare notes with Batman regarding the force behind the altered timeline.

  • Lightning Strikes Twice Part One: Deus Ex Machina · 20 pages

Barry finds himself overwhelmed trying to do all he can to help as many people as he can as both the Flash and as a crime scene investigator. No matter how many he helps, he feels that there are others he is not there to help. This is proven when he stops to rescue people from a burning building, but that may cause him to arrive too late at a shoot-out at S.T.A.R. Labs between a rogue group called the Black Hole and police officers, including his friend Detective August Heart.

  • Lightning Strikes Twice, Part Two: Thunderstuck! · 20 pages

Having been struck by lightning, August Heart has gained the powers of the Speed Force. Barry begins to train August how to use his new powers. Iris investigates why the Black Hole was trying to steal from S.T.A.R. Labs, which leads to her being kidnapped by the Black Hole. When the Flash tries to rescue her and is struck down by a new weapon, August puts on a costume to come to the rescue. In the aftermath, a new lightning storm hits Central City, with lighting striking many citizens giving them all super speed.

  • Speed City · 20 pages

With dozens of citizens turned into speedsters from lightning strikes, some turn to crime and are apprehended by the Flash and August. Others want to learn how to adjust to their powers, so S.T.A.R. Labs opens a training center for new speedsters, headed by Dr. Meena Dhawan. Iris seeks a new lead on the Black Hole, and is aided by Wally using his speed powers secretly. Barry agrees to help Meena train the speedsters, including the rogue speedsters captured earlier, but when they arrive at Iron Heights they find the rogue speedsters dead, killed by a new speed villain, Godspeed.

  • Teamwork · 20 pages

The Flash takes on the role of "teacher" to a group of citizens of Central City who have become affected by Speed-Force-Infused Lightning. The Speed Force is not bonded to their cells, as is the case with Barry. Meanwhile, Dr. Carver is working on his "Speed Machine" when he is overloaded by its energy, making him a speeding monster. Flash, and some of the other speedsters-in-training team up to neutralize the threat. Wally West attempts to access the Speed Force, but realizes he needs some help from S.T.A.R. Labs. Meena makes a move on Flash. He reveals his identity to her.

  • Barry Allen's Day Off · 20 pages

After stopping Dr. Carver, whom is thought to be Godspeed, Barry and Meena enjoy some down time together. Barry confides to Iris about his new relationship. Meena and August continue to work to train the new speedsters at S.T.A.R. Labs. Wally West shows up to learn more about using his developing powers, but is unwilling to go public about his speed, so Meena agrees to give him private training for using his speed. When Meena returns to S.T.A.R., she finds Godspeed threatening some of the new speedsters and attempts to stop him.

  • Revenge · 20 pages

Godspeed is continuing to murder speedsters. Distraught over Meena's disappearance and possible death, Barry digs in and reviews all evidence in the case trying to track down Godspeed. The new speedsters, fearing the Godspeed will come for their speed, ask Barry to remove their powers. Wally learns of Meena's apparent death, and is devastated and he blames Barry for not solving the case, then takes off, causing Barry to realize that Wally has super-speed. Iris discovers an important clue which points Barry to Godspeed's real identity: August Heart!

  • No More Speedsters · 20 pages

The Flash and Godspeed battle and argue over how they should be using their speed powers. August believes in a lethal manner for stopping criminals, which he displays when he kills 4 Black Hole Agents who had taken hostages in an attempt to gain Dr. Carver's release. Wally reveals his speed powers to The Flash and offers to help stop Godspeed. Barry finds a way for the other speedsters to give up their speed and transfer it into Barry and Wally to increase their speed in order to battle Godspeed.

  • Old Friends · 20 pages

Godspeed plans to kill every prisoner in Iron Heights, and Flash may not be fast enough to stop him on his own. The second Wally West becomes Kid Flash for the first time to help Barry take down their enemy.

As Barry and the new Kid Flash rescue people from a collapsing bridge, the original Wally West shows up to help them. When the two Wallys touch, Barry experiences speed force feedback and sees visions of a possible future and behaves arrogantly, seemingly momentarily possessed by Prof. Zoom. Under the influence of Zoom, Barry reveals to the second Wally that his uncle Daniel, the Reverse Flash, is in reality Wally's father. Upset at this revelation, and that Barry had withheld this information from him previously, the second Wally storms off, but is consoled by the original Wally.

  • The Speed of Darkness Part One · 20 pages

Barry and Iris encounter a new villain named Papercut, who has the power to control paper and wood. Kid Flash shows up to stop him, but Wally gets careless, and Barry has to change to the Flash to rescue innocents. Barry and Iris both confront Wally about skipping school to be Kid Flash. Wally is anxious to prove himself, and seeks out a new villain known as the Walking Shadow, who turns out to be an old villain: The Shade!

When Barry and Iris go on a date, Wally feels compelled to make sure there are no crimes to interrupt them and goes on a city-wide patrol to stop all crimes in the city, which leads him into a confrontation with Tar Pit. Barry and Iris acknowledge they have feelings for each other and try to understand why things have not always worked out for them in the past.
