Thulandra Thuu attacks Conan and leaves him for dead, while he assumes Conan's appearance and lives the life of a king. Conan is saved by the dancer Alcina, who once tried to poison Conan, but who now hopes to be forgiven. Conan returns to kill the impostor, and the conspiring noblemen live to try again another day.
