  • Nobody's Hero · 23 pages

Beast Boy heads to Hollywood to restart his acting career and moves in with his slacker cousin Matt. Though he can't land an agent, he does get recognized by a fangirl at a bar for his work on Space Trek 2020. After brushing her off, Beast Boy has to intervene when she is later harassed by another patron named Magilla. When Magilla picks up the fangirl and heads for the back door, Beast Boy follows, but by the time he catches up, Magilla is dead in the alley, the fangirl is nowhere to be found, and Gar is face-to-face with the police.

  • A Face of Mistaken Identity · 22 pages

After Beast Boy is taken into custody for the murder of Magilla, Nightwing prepares to make a trip to Los Angeles. But before Nightwing can get there, Beast Boy sees a doppelgänger outside his cell and heads out in pursuit. Gar loses the trail of his twin, who abducts Gar's old co-star Vicky Valiant. Beast Boy heads for Matt's apartment where he is greeted by Fear and Loathing. After a prolonged fight, they flee, leaving Matt and Gar to the L.A.P.D. Once Beast Boy is back in prison, Beast Boy's twin makes a call on Gar's old producer, Don Dickerson, but Nightwing arrives demanding answers.

  • Gemini · 22 pages

Soon into their encounter, Nightwing deduces that it is not the real Beast Boy threatening Don Dickerson. When news of their battle reaches Police Headquarters, Flamebird rushes over to join the fight, but the impostor Beast Boy flees the scene. After Nightwing bails out Gar and Matt, Gar insists on getting to the bottom of the case on his own, and with help from Matt in deciphering a clue, heads to Chinatown where he apparently finds Madame Rouge, the person responsible for the deaths of the original Doom Patrol.

  • Beast War! · 22 pages

Beast Boy's foe, calling herself Gemini, reveals that she is Madame Rouge's daughter, and, with her shapeshifting powers and her allies Fear and Loathing, plans to frame Gar for the murders of his former costars. But Beast Boy, with the timely aid of Flamebird, puts an end to her plot. This first adventure behind them, Gar moves into a new apartment with Bette and Matt and gets a real start on his new life.
