Stories

  • Prehistoric Animals, Number 2: The Teeming Seas · 1 pages
  • The Duplicates · 27 pages

Exiled on an asteroid, Zurko captures Tim and Tam, then makes an army of Tim duplicates so that he may take over his home planet of Zytrox. After his departure the adult Robinsons rescue their children, then pursue Zurko to Zytrox. Here they join forces with the underground, finally discovering that the duplicates can be annihilated by high-frequency sound. They leave with the gratitude of Zytrox, but Tim has had enough of mirrors for a while.

  • Trouble at Fifteen Hundred · 1 pages

Andy Carr is in his space suit 1500 miles up, repairing a satellite, when he loses contact with the object and begins a slow fall with the Earth's weak gravity. When his rocket harness fails he unstraps it, does a repair in free fall, and uses it to return to his vessel.

  • Situation Survival · Captain Venture · 4 pages

Investigating a strange new world, Captain Venture and his co-pilot struggle to regain control when their ship is struck by a meteor. They crash into the sea but then surface into a lushly forested cavern -- illuminated by artificial light. Recognizing that they must rely on each other in a new way, they go onto a first-name basis for the duration.

  • Wild Animals of South America, Number 10: The Anaconda · 1 pages
