Stories
- Prehistoric Americans: The Ancient Eskimo · 1 pages
- Captives of the Beaver Men · 14 pages
Turok and Andar are captured by Beaver Men, who live in half-submerged mounds. Suspecting the pair of being spies they plan to kill Turok and Andar, but Turok insists that he can lead them in slaying a dangerous honker (dinosaur) that repeatedly menaces them. Turok makes good by using a noose and concealed stakes, and coaching the Beaver Men to work together. Rightly suspecting that the Beaver Men will renege on their promise of freedom, Turok and Andar escape in the aftermath of the killing.
- The Wings of Flight · 4 pages
Archaeopteryx has only limited gliding ability, while hesperornis is agile in the water but clumsy on land. Ichthyornis, though, evolves as a true bird -- walking on land and swimming on the sea surface, but fully able to take to the air.
- Stone-Age Music · 1 pages
- The Red Scourge · 12 pages
Turok and Andar encounter a fishing tribe facing starvation because of a horde of small flesh-stripping fish, like piranha. The medicine man insists that this is the way of the gods, but Turok teaches them to pen up the horde with a dam, then kill them with mashed-up poisonous roots.
