Stories

  • The Astronaut and the Pirates · 15 pages

When Colonel Nelson's space capsule is forced down near Bengala, he is captured by pirates and held for ransom. The Phantom and the Wambesi chief swim to surreptitiously board the pirate vessel, and free the colonel.

  • Flash Gordon and the Space Pirates, Part 2 · 4 pages

Forced to land on a hostile planet, Flash and Patch are recaptured. Patch hoodwinks her uncle and his men, and escapes again with Flash.

  • The Masked Emissary · 9 pages

Bababu, who has overthrown the freely-elected Dr. Luaga, terrorizes the country. The Phantom, commissioned by the U.N., captures him and reluctantly acquiesces when the chiefs insist on trial by combat between the two rivals. The scholarly, slightly-built Luaga is clearly over-matched, but the chiefs know what neither Bababu nor the Phantom know... that Luaga is an expert at judo.
