Out from under Cobra control, the Transformers split into their respective teams and begin to go after their own agendas. Fearing the government is going to nuke Cobra Island, the Joes disobey orders and head to the snake pit so that the world won't end in a blast of nuclear energy and energon.

Publisher’s description

The crossover of the decade is here! Featuring the two big players of the '80's, this story chronicles what happens when an infant COBRA organization stumbles upon an alien spacecraft full of damaged robots, the TRANSFORMERS. With these new weapons under their control, they will conquer the entire planet, unless a newly formed Special Forces unit called G.I. Joe can stop them Thanks to Wheeljack, Bumblebee, and mysterious e-mails all over the world, G.I.Joe finds the location of Cobra Island and a scout team is deployed with one goal in mind: bring Optimus Prime back online. Meanwhile, the rest of the Joes gear up for a full on assault on the island, and they're bringing a piece of the ARK with them. The only one able to save Cobra could be MEGATRON - but Cobra Commander will have to release him from his prison for that to happen.
