In 1967, the U.S. President meets with the Secretary of Planet Patrol. The world's supply of uranium is low, so they will send a mining expedition to the Moon. Weeks later, Col. Tommy Tomorrow is briefed for the mission to the crater known as the Sea of Eternity. Ten sleek space cruisers travel to the Moon to initiate "Operation Luna". Soon after arriving, the crew gets sickened by pollen from poisonous Moon flowers, but ancient microfilm from an extinct Moon Men race tells Tommy that common salt will cure his crew!
