Spider-Man and Black Cat try to take on the band of bad guys that Green Goblin has assembled but are doing badly until the superhero cavalry arrives. Goblin heads off to capture Mary Jane. Spider-Man tries to chase him down but is delayed by the Venom powered Scorpion. When Spider-Man catches up with the Goblin, he is holding Mary Jane hostage over a very familiar bridge.
