The heroes find themselves at odds with the Green Lantern Corps based on how the Guardians want to deal with the threat of Darkseid. When Bolovax Vik is attacked, Kilowog breaks ranks to defend his home planet, and the heroes and the Corps unite to fight with him. Mr. Mxyzptlk joins the heroes against the undead gods, but he is corrupted by Darkseid to become a powerful weapon in Darkseid's army.
