Stories

  • Horror-Go-Round · 10 pages

A sweet old man runs a horror carousel with twisted creatures for rides. Two adult brothers smell foul play. The creatures look like deceased people they used to know. When one brother is killed by a monstrous fiend, the other starts investigating. Retracing the steps of vanished corpses he discovers the hideous truth: The old man is a vampire transforming his victims into rides on his horror-go-round.

  • Death's Beggar · 10 pages

Salem, in the year 1600. Peter Braack is a vain person. When a witch abducts women and Braack confronts her, he does not save the women but makes a pact wishing for eternal youth and immortality. Braack gets framed by the witch later on and hanged. Immortal as he is, he stumbles around as a living zombie begging for his redemption through death, which can only be granted by the witch.

  • On Hangman's Hill · 2 pages

Two Scotland Yard policemen pay a visit to the royal hangman, a certain John Noose (sic!). They inquire about his pension payments - which he's been receiving for 200 years! Noose explains that he is kept alive by a special brew from graveyard soil, but then accidentally kicks over his supply vat - and dies.

  • Hands of Vengeance · 10 pages

In a jealous rage, Oliver Cartere kills his wife Muriel. After hiding the body he is haunted by Muriel's severed hands. When the police look into the matter, they find clues leading to Oliver's arrest.
