Ashley is jolted awake by a massive explosion that sends her cherished heirloom clock crashing to the floor, shattering it. Upon investigating, she discovers that a low-budget apocalyptic movie is being filmed outside her window. As she rushes to work, already late, Ashley reflects on the beginning of the 'Crisis' event that started two years ago, a phenomenon that is gradually destroying the planet through destructive localized temporal disturbances.
