The Shaitan, a fearsome wraith-like race of conquerors, have taken Dorno away, as he was the designate to contain all of the knowledge of the once mighty Klaturian race. The grief of The Herculiods over the loss of Dorno becomes so great that Zandor makes a bold decision. He will go to the Encephalon and, as a "Child of the Klaturians" and appeal for help to rescue Dorno and "defeat the ones who took [their] empire". Augmented by the Encephalon's knowledge transfer, Zandor can now fly the Klaturians' ship and pursue the Shaitan into space for a showdown.
