Publisher’s description
In the backup story, a barbarian named Brak is sentenced to death for not believing in the local God. The favored daughter, sending possibilities for treasure and fun of her own, gives Brak a necklace that will summon her magically. As expected, he does so close to his death. But instead she is slain in the melee as a meat-shield. Brak escapes and the cult leader vows revenge.
