  • Mesmero's Revenge! · 17 pages

Mesmero offers Spider-Man $400 a week if he will agree to make special appearances in his Broadway show. Unfortunately, the drama critic for the Globe hates Mesmero's performance and pans him in the newspaper. Mesmero hypnotizes the unkind reviewer and compels him to wrap himself in chains and jump off the Brooklyn Bridge. Spider-Man intervenes, which Mesmero sees as tantamount to betrayal. When Spider-Man shows up for his curtain call, Mesmero tries to kill him in front of a captive audience.

Publisher’s description

Mutant villain Mesmero has decided to go straight…by becoming a Broadway producer! But when critics pan Mesmero’s lackluster (and all-around strange) show, this baddie-at-heart may resort to mind control. Mesmero not only wants the praise of critics, he wants to convince Spider-Man to star in his next death-defying production!
