The X-Men have their hands full battling a cadre of Furies that have marched out of a ghost box looking for the Jim Jaspers from their dimension. Wolvie gets torn to ribbons but stays on his feet fighting. Emma looks into Jaspers' mind to find out more about his home reality. She tells the X-Men how dangerous the Furies really are and they begin to develop a plan as to how to defeat them.

Publisher’s description

Something is causing the children of an African village to be born mutated. Something in the woodland outside the village. Something they don't talk about. But now, whatever it is, it’s being hunted, and the X-Men are trapped between the hunters and the hunted.
