Rick and Morty had "...merged the Par-mee-zee-an Universe and [the] Prime Universe into a new universe that wasn't actively trying to kill [them]. But then [their] original home universe, C-137, showed up and announced [Rick] still owed a debt for all the cosmic destruction [he] caused. He used his magic staff to transform [Rick] into an Observo - a race of ancient observers who watch and record all universal events, unable to directly interfere. And transported [Rick] to the Observo Plane for the rest of eternity!" Rick finds a way to subvert this, resulting in all sorts of universal mayhem.
